Note: Beverly Healthcare at Hendersonville, N.C., plans regular events for the residents. Here are two recent events publicized in the local newspaper.
Bridal Show
The staff at Beverly Healthcare held a bridal show for the residents. There were two “brides” and two “grooms,” as well as seven bridesmaids and a flower girl. Rebecca Bigelow, resident, provided piano music for the procession. Residents reminisced about their weddings. A traditional reception was held after the show.
Vegetable Luncheon
A “vegetable luncheon” was held at Beverly Healthcare. Kirby Johnson of Flavor 1st Produce donated the produce. Residents shucked corn, snapped beans and cut okra, squash, tomatoes and cucumbers. The dietary staff cooked the meal.
